Yes. The Cloud Platform operates from infrastructure independently audited for SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3 Type II, HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS 4.0. A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available for customers handling ePHI. Atlantic.Net's audited controls can be cited directly in your audit documentation.
What is the difference between Cloud Hosting and Dedicated Hosts?
Cloud Hosting (Cloud Virtual Servers) places your VMs on shared multi-tenant hardware with strong isolation between VMs. Dedicated Hosts give you the entire physical hypervisor node for your own VMs only ‐ no shared resources and no noisy-neighbor risk. Dedicated Hosts are typically chosen for workloads with predictable high performance requirements or strict isolation needs.
What is Secure Block Storage?
Secure Block Storage (SBS) is elastic block-storage that attaches to your Cloud Virtual Servers. You can resize volumes, detach and re-attach to a different VM, and rely on built-in replication for redundancy. SBS is typically used for application data, databases, and anything that needs to survive a server replacement or scale beyond local-disk limits.
How do snapshots work?
A snapshot is a point-in-time image of a Cloud Virtual Server's local storage. You can roll a server back to a snapshot, create a brand-new server from a snapshot, or transfer a snapshot to another data center for off-site recovery. Snapshots are commonly used as quick rollback points before risky changes and as the seed for cloning environments.
Where are the Atlantic.Net data centers located?
Atlantic.Net operates a global footprint with data centers in Ashburn, Dallas, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, Toronto, London, and Singapore. Workloads can be placed in the region closest to your users or replicated across regions for disaster recovery.
