Managed Firewall

A professionally managed firewall service gives our clients a peace-of-mind that each layer of the network is protected to the highest of standards. Our experienced network engineering team has designed our network service to be logical, robust, and secure. The Managed Firewall Service includes a customized and fully managed firewall stack connected to the Atlantic.Net network, isolating your traffic from all other traffic. A redundant firewall stack configuration is also available upon request and is designed with affordability and security in mind. One-size-fits-all does not apply here; we strive to go beyond basic security protocols and do more than necessary to ensure security and compliance.

By default, all Atlantic.Net clients have access to our Network Address Translation Utility that integrates with our managed firewall. It is designed to allow quick and easy network shaping functions, configurable port forwarding, outbound NAT, and advanced load balancing for both inbound and outbound connectivity.

Managed Edge Protection

We offer Edge Services that will shield your environment against a Distributed Denial of Service attack, which is a large-scale assault on server infrastructure with the intention to overload a web server with fake requests to bring the system down. Atlantic.Net can implement managed DDoS protection technology that will automatically thwart unwantedly requests. We also provide Content Delivery Networks (CDN) to help reduce the attack surface of your website. With a CDN, a user request for content on your site is cached at the network edge, resulting in less load and less exposure of front-end services. Web Application Firewall (WAF) is another available service that uses policy-defined protection for web applications by monitoring and filtering traffic via the network edge.

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)

Our optional Intrusion Prevention Service (IPS) intelligently and proactively monitors network activity for our managed firewall customers. The intrusion prevention system resides directly on the network, protecting against local vulnerabilities at the network layer. Our IPS shields your system from global exploits and increases visibility into applications accessing the network, which helps intelligent protection against known and zero-day attacks and automatically delivers rules that guard the network against newly discovered vulnerabilities. A bidirectional stateful firewall decreases the attack surface of your physical and virtual servers, centralizes management of server firewall policy, and prevents Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.

Fully Managed VPN

The VPN offering is available as a User VPN and a Point-to-Point VPN tunnel. We implement an encrypted AES-256 VPN tunnel that supports OpenVPN and IPSec by default that exceeds PCI-DSS standards. The service includes the management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of VPN connectivity.

Anti Malware Protection:

Atlantic.Net's engineers trust Trend Micro Anti-Malware to protect systems from malicious software. If your team is required to meet PCI compliance standards, Atlantic.Net has your Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus needs to be covered.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

In conjunction with a strong password policy, and secured VPNs and encryption, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is the defacto choice for securing all computer assets. With a managed service, MFA can easily be set up at scale, and MFA authentication software can be distributed, for example, to a user’s mobile phone. Securing infrastructure with MFA will create added protection; each user will need not only a username and password but also a pin and a code generated from a mobile app, just like Internet banking.

Onsite/Offsite Backup and Replication Capabilities

Our highly available backup solutions offer on-site storage for local backups, replication, and off-site storage capabilities at any of our eight global data center regions.

Vulnerability Scans

Our managed Services include biweekly vulnerability scans for host servers or configured websites. Upon request, we can also assist with evaluating scan results and implement requested firewall rules to mitigate potential issues.
