Cloud Hosting Provider Adds Fifth Location To Provide Faster Service To Developers In The Northeast USA

ORLANDO, FL, May 4, 2015 – Atlantic.Net, a global SSD cloud hosting service, today announced its expansion in the Northeast with the opening of its first New York City-based cloud hosting center. This new center, which is the fifth addition to the company’s rapidly growing infrastructure, is owned by Telx and was established to handle the increasing demands of New York City’s ever-evolving startup and developer-focused communities.

The New York City cloud center will offer developer-friendly features that cater around simplicity and rapid deployment, including one-click apps such as WordPress, LAMP, LEMP, Docker, Node.js, and Django. These new features, in addition to superior network speeds, will be implemented into all of Atlantic.Net’s facilities, and will add great value to the developer community, making it easier for the startup ecosystem to grow in the Northeast region. With its proximity to Manhattan, this seven-floor, 179,000 square foot facility with diverse conduit entry points is an ideal location that provides access to hundreds of leading domestic and international carriers and complies with all International Telecommunication standards.

The new center is co-located in a state-of-the-art Telx building, one of the most network rich, interconnected colocation centers in the New York City metro area. The facility has a power capacity of 4000 (kW), N+1 – 2N UPS redundancy, N+1 cooling, and 150 (W/sq.ft.) power density. Other key features of the center include biometric card key access, 24/365 manned security, and digital video monitoring to ensure a secure experience for Atlantic.Net customers.

Atlantic.Net will continue to expand and grow alongside the developer community, to adapt to changes in the developer ecosystem and continue to provide simple solutions for hosting applications.
