Atlantic.Net Provides Internet Access to 9 area radio stations

Gainesville, FL (8/17/01) – Atlantic.Net, one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing and most reliable Internet Protocol Carriers, today announced an agreement with Pamal Broadcasting to provide dedicated Internet access to its nine radio stations in the Gainesville/Ocala area.

“We are impressed by Atlantic.Net’s network operations and reputation,” said Bruce Cherry, operations manager at Pamal. “We are excited to be partnering with Atlantic.Net and feel it’s only fitting for the largest broadcasting company in the area to be doing business with the largest Internet provider in the area. It’s a win/win/win for Pamal, Atlantic.Net and our clients.”

Established in 1996 as a sister company to Albany Communications, Pamal Broadcasting owns radio stations in primarily medium-sized markets in the eastern United States. Headquartered in Albany, NY, Pamal’s stations in the Gainesville/Ocala market include: Lite 106.9, Z100, Magic101.3, Sports/Talk AM1430 The Team, WDJY101.7, FUN102.7 and the KOZY Radio Group: WRZN, WLUS and WDFL.

The agreement with Pamal Broadcasting represents Atlantic.Net’s third alliance with a major radio broadcasting group. Atlantic.Net signed similar agreements with Renda Broadcasting and Infinity Broadcasting earlier this year.
